What you will do

• Apply electrical engineering concepts to power system automation and protection solutions.
• Train and assist customers with the creation, design, configuration, validation, installation, commissioning, and operation of automation and protection systems.
• Prepare functional design specifications, design documents, reports, checklists, test reports, and other deliverables.
• Complete assigned work within agreed scope, schedule, and budget while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Work with applications including data centers, utilities, industrial plants, universities, wind, solar, and battery energy storage systems.
• Apply SEL values, operating principles, and manufacturing principles.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience using PSSE, ETAP, and/or RTDS.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, including analysis, modeling, testing, and system behavior analysis.
• Ability to apply engineering principles within a power systems focus area.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Work at the Pullman, Washington location is required.

Nice to have

• Engineer in Training certificate.
• Experience in power system modeling, testing, and studies.
• Experience with protection relays, SCADA systems, or automation platforms.
• Familiarity with utility or industrial power system environments.
• Experience with commissioning or field support activities.
