Corporate Quality Engineering Leader (Automotive)

Location: Onsite in Gaffney, South Carolina, or High Point, North Carolina, US. Relocation assistance is not available.

Starting salary: $104,000–$133,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Support the execution and continuous improvement of the DTSV corporate quality strategy, governance framework, and Quality Management System.
• Maintain quality KPIs, dashboards, reporting, document control, corrective and preventive actions, and change management processes.
• Lead and coach structured problem-solving activities using FRACAS, SPR, 8D, and root cause analysis.
• Aggregate and analyze enterprise quality, warranty, field, and customer data to identify systemic trends and create scorecards and executive summaries.
• Integrate warranty performance and customer feedback into engineering, supplier quality, operations, and service improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management, operations, or a related field.
• 6+ years of progressive quality engineering experience in automotive, commercial vehicles, or a similar industry.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, FRACAS, 8D, RCA, APQP/PPAP fundamentals, and quality systems architecture.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing without direct authority.
• Must be legally authorized to work permanently in the US at the time of application; visa sponsorship and existing visa holders are not accepted.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check and, if required, a pre-employment drug screen.

Nice to have

• Experience with warranty analytics, field quality, or customer satisfaction systems.
• Experience with Minitab, SAP, Tableau, QMS platforms, or related quality tools.
• Familiarity with Daimler systems such as IMS, OWL, Shoptech, or TBB AIMS.
• Advanced Microsoft Office and data visualization skills.
• Lean or Six Sigma certification, or equivalent experience.
