Compliance Engineer (EMC)

Salary: $97,740–$144,460 per year

What you will do

• Develop and maintain standards, requirements, and solutions for EMC and other assigned compliance areas.
• Create compliance tests, procedures, and technical reports for electronic products.
• Maintain complete test documentation in accordance with ISO 17025, A2LA, and quality-system requirements.
• Build understanding of SEL products and markets.
• Provide technical assistance to product groups and support compliance-related projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of compliance engineering experience in an electronics development and manufacturing company.
• Knowledge of EMC design mitigation methods and best practices for industrial and public utility equipment.
• Hands-on experience with common EMC testing equipment.
• Experience with IEC/EN/KN 61000 series, IEC/EN/KN 60255-26, IEEE C37.90 standards, FCC Part 15B, and CISPR standards.
• Strong writing, documentation, speaking, teamwork, self-management, and learning skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of EMC, safety, radio, regulatory, voluntary, or customer compliance requirements, including FCC, IC, IEC, CISPR, CE, UL, or CSA.
• Leadership experience or training.
