System Operations Technical Trainer or Senior System Operations Technical Trainer (NERC)

What you will do

• Develop and deliver competency-based training for new and NERC-certified Bulk Electric System operators.
• Apply the ADDIE systematic approach and comply with NERC PER, certification, continuing education, and company qualification requirements.
• Design training materials, operational simulation scenarios, and web-based learning content.
• Operate training simulators and assess learning through performance demonstrations and assessment tools.
• Document initial training and track continuing education hours using file and data management tools.
• Collaborate with trainers, directors, ECC managers, and operating personnel to improve training methods and address training-environment challenges.

Requirements

• Technical degree and two years of related work experience for the System Operations Technical Trainer level.
• Senior level requires a technical degree and four years of related work experience, or a high school diploma/GED and six years of related experience.
• NERC Certified Operator required for the Senior System Operations Technical Trainer level.
• Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, conflict-management, and course-development skills.
• Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, plus the ability to work effectively with operators and leadership.
• Must be able to work lawfully in the United States without employment-based immigration sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Two years of related experience demonstrating a commitment to training in a support role.
• Experience presenting or facilitating operator conferences and workshops.
• Knowledge of the Dispatch Training Simulator and hirify.global's compliance culture.
