Event Operations Manager - Westin Ft. Lauderdale Beach Resort, Ft Lauderdale FL (Audio Visual)

Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States. Onsite work in a hotel/convention center environment, including irregular hours, evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call status. Work may take place at multiple hotel locations.

Salary: $48,776.00–$63,409.00 per year.

What you will do

• Manage daily event floor activities and technician workflows to ensure equipment and services are delivered on time and meet client and hotel specifications.
• Schedule, supervise, delegate, and support technicians and operational staff.
• Review billing, quotes, equipment sheets, inventory levels, and cost-efficiency opportunities.
• Meet with guests onsite, oversee equipment setup, and resolve service or operational challenges.
• Hire, develop, mentor, and motivate technicians while managing performance, training, and professional development.
• Attend BEO, pre-convention, and pre-production meetings as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• 4+ years of audio-visual and customer service or hospitality experience, including 2+ years of supervisory experience.
• Experience leading workflows and team members.
• Working knowledge of audio-visual equipment in a live-show environment.
• Proficiency with computer hardware, software, the Internet, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including frequent lifting and carrying of up to 50 lbs and occasional lifting of heavier equipment.
