Engineering Technician

What you will do

• Coordinate day-to-day activities within assigned engineering and production areas.
• Create OMS documentation for multiple products and implement new processes for new and custom builds.
• Develop and improve standard operating procedures under engineering direction.
• Support prototypes, production lines, new product lines, and updates to existing lines.
• Conduct time studies to remove unnecessary work and improve production-floor efficiency.
• Prepare training plans, conduct training, and track progress toward established objectives.

Requirements

• Certification from a technical or trade school, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of progressive technical production experience in a related field is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, technical prints, and related documentation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks, as well as Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to guide production-floor personnel and provide technical direction.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, multitasking, and deadline-management skills.
