Senior Generalist, HR

Location: Champaign Plant, Champaign, Illinois, United States. Onsite role requiring schedule flexibility to support a 24/7 business, including second- and third-shift employees.

Base pay: $75,600–$94,500 annually. Target total cash: $86,940–$108,675. New hire base salary range: $77,800–$97,300, plus performance-based bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Administer day-to-day HR policies and processes across employee relations, communications, engagement, performance management, recruiting, staffing, compliance, and benefits.
• Support workforce planning, annual reviews, compensation administration, organizational effectiveness, and hourly workforce recruiting.
• Maintain accurate HR system data, compile monthly analytics, and support timekeeping and benefits administration.
• Coordinate employee engagement activities, communication plans, onboarding, orientations, new-hire paperwork, and I-9 completion.
• Investigate and help resolve employee questions, issues, and concerns while supporting attendance, KPI, and disciplinary processes.
• Participate in audits, own the site training program, and help develop employee training opportunities.

Requirements

• Ability to work off-shift hours supporting second- and third-shift employees in a 24/7 plant operation.
• One to three years of experience in a human resources-related profession.
• Updated knowledge of employment laws and practices.
• Experience with Workday Cloud, HCM, or a related ATS platform.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.

Nice to have

• PHR or SPHR certification.
• Supervisory experience.
