1st Shift Small Component Assembly - Assembler / Disassembler L2 (Automotive Manufacturing)

Location: Byesville, Ohio, United States; onsite. Applicants must be able to work in or relocate to Byesville. Relocation assistance is not available.

Salary: $19.55–$27.59 per hour, plus potential quarterly gainsharing bonus and shift differential for off shifts.

What you will do

• Assemble and disassemble small components including EGR valves, water pumps, fuel pumps, bull gears, accessory drives, connecting rods, and Jake Brakes.
• Install and assemble components for heavy-duty trucks and inspect completed small components.
• Operate hoists, gauges, air tools, reamers, hand carts, lift tables, lift carts, pallet jacks, and spring testers.
• Use work instructions, drawings, bills of materials, specification sheets, and computer systems to support assembly operations.
• Follow work rotation plans, complete training matrices, and cross-train on other positions.
• Support safety, quality, housekeeping, productivity, continuous improvement, and throughput initiatives.

Requirements

• Ability to perform repetitive hand manipulation, grasping, and support of power and hand tools.
• Ability to stand on concrete for an entire shift and repeatedly bend, stoop, twist, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to read and understand workstation instructions and identify component parts by identification numbers.
• Ability to maintain a clean work area and meet quality standards.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work permanently in the United States at the time of application.
• Visa sponsorship is not available, and existing visa holders are not eligible.

Nice to have

• Previous manufacturing experience, particularly in automotive or trucking.
• Previous mechanical experience.
• High school diploma or GED; further college education is a plus.
