Delivery Driver/Assembly Technician (Automotive)

Location: New Hudson, Michigan, United States; onsite, day shift starting at 8 AM, Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week, with overtime and weekends as required.

What you will do

• Pick up and deliver Pratt Miller components from suppliers.
• Assemble and install vehicle components and subassemblies using engineering drawings, work orders, and process instructions.
• Inspect assemblies for accuracy, functionality, quality, and safety compliance.
• Document work progress and promptly address production issues.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, fabricators, and mechanics to meet deadlines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while using required PPE.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and a CDL.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and process instructions.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with common hand tools and equipment.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and shipment tracking.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds, stand for extended periods, work independently, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Nice to have

• At least five years of delivery driving and/or shipping and receiving experience.
• Experience with low-volume prototype vehicle assembly or related manufacturing.
• Vehicle repair, diagnostics, troubleshooting, metalworking, or fabrication experience.
• Knowledge of vehicle pneumatic, cooling, or high-voltage electrical systems.
• Experience in an ISO 9001 quality environment and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
