Quality Technician I - 3rd Shift (Automotive Manufacturing)

Location: Spartanburg, South Carolina, United States; onsite, full-time, 3rd shift

What you will do

• Perform inspections and testing on in-process vehicles, sub-assemblies, purchased components, and completed vehicles.
• Record inspection and test findings in the Manufacturing Execution System and prepare summary reports.
• Complete sorting and minor rework on components, contain suspect vehicles, and perform additional inspections as needed.
• Work with production operators and participate in plant start-up and daily review meetings.
• Support continuous improvement, root-cause analysis, and 8D team activities.
• Use CMM equipment, torque monitoring tools, calipers, micrometers, and go/no-go gauges to verify parts and vehicles.

Requirements

• Basic computer, math, reading, and information-analysis skills.
• General understanding of testing equipment and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational, time-management, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and maintain attention to detail and quality standards.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, type, and lift or carry up to 35 lbs. as required.

Nice to have

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous automotive experience.
• At least six months of experience as an Inspection or Quality Technician.
