Automotive Electrical Assembler

Location: Appleton, Wisconsin, United States; onsite production work

Salary: $23.95+ per hour; the starting rate is based on experience and education, with a $2.00 per hour technical premium.

What you will do

• Assemble, install, route, and wire electrical parts for truck production.
• Work with wires, harnesses, and cables using drills, crimpers, cutters, strippers, electric drivers, and other hand tools.
• Read blueprints, work orders, and production schedules to complete assigned tasks.
• Inspect, organize, clean, and inventory electrical parts and maintain a safe work area.
• Lift and move parts weighing up to 35 pounds and assist coworkers with heavier lifting.
• Operate carts and, where required, forklifts to transport parts and equipment.

Requirements

• Previous electro-mechanical experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, safety manuals, work orders, and tape measurements.
• Ability to distinguish wire, harness, and cable colors and recognize abnormal or unsafe operating conditions.
• Ability to stand, balance, climb steps or ladders, use both hands for tool operation, and safely handle parts weighing up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, use required personal protective equipment, maintain attendance, and work overtime as needed.
• Applicants may need to be U.S. Persons for positions involving controlled goods or technologies under ITAR or EAR regulations.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in automotive mechanics, electro-mechanical studies, or an equivalent qualification.
• Previous maintenance or operational experience.
• Previous experience as a Pierce team member or contractor.
