Software Engineering Advisor (AWS/Java)

Location: Hybrid position in Morris Plains, New Jersey, United States

Annual salary: $111,700–$186,100 USD, with eligibility for an annual bonus plan.

What you will do

• Lead the design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance of complex software applications.
• Guide teams through the full software development lifecycle and mentor engineering staff.
• Create technical specifications, design documentation, and peer code reviews.
• Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders and vendors on estimates, delivery plans, and technology initiatives.
• Improve application support and delivery processes while reducing technical debt.
• Lead high-priority production incident resolution and root cause analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in call center production support within the pharmacy benefit management domain.
• Experience deploying React components on AWS and working with CloudFront, S3, CloudWatch, and Lambda.
• Experience with Oracle, Java, C++, OpenShift, JSP, Spring Boot, DynaTrace, Splunk, Broadvision, and ticket investigation.
• Experience with LangSmith and AI-related work.
• Ability to work on a hybrid schedule in Morris Plains, New Jersey. Occasional or permanent home working requires cable broadband or fiber internet with at least 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload speeds.
