Maintenance Manager (Fleet)

Location: Elyria, OH, USA; requires travel

Salary: $99,800–$137,300 annually, plus a 25% annual incentive plan target.

What you will do

• Oversee up to five maintenance shops and multiple teams responsible for vehicle and heavy-equipment repairs.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance, repair scheduling, shop huddles, fleet walk-arounds, inspections, and quality-control activities.
• Lead maintenance supervisors, managers, technicians, hiring decisions, training, performance evaluations, and corrective actions.
• Monitor shop productivity, overtime, maintenance costs, inventory, outsourcing, and operational performance.
• Maintain records, payroll information, budgets, goals, and preventive and corrective maintenance data in Dossier Maintenance Software.
• Ensure repairs comply with company safety policies and applicable federal and state regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and at least three years of leadership experience.
• At least five years as a Maintenance Manager or Maintenance Supervisor for a large vehicle fleet or multiple locations.
• Advanced knowledge of diesel engines, emissions systems, transmissions, brakes, hydraulics, electrical systems, HVAC, welding, and heavy-equipment repair.
• Knowledge of OSHA HazCom, Lockout/Tagout, and Fire Protection regulations.
• Strong analytical, organizational, financial planning, communication, collaboration, and customer-service skills.
• Automotive Service Excellence and CAFM certifications or comparable fleet-management experience.
