Director, HR Operations (AI)

Location: Santa Ana, California, USA; hybrid schedule with on-site work three days per week on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday

Salary: $148,600–$198,200 annually

What you will do

• Lead the HR Operations team and oversee accurate, consistent employee lifecycle transactions and services.
• Develop and execute a multi-year transformation roadmap focused on self-service, Workday AI, automation, and digital workflows.
• Redesign HR service delivery from transactional support toward advisory and exception-based operations.
• Establish operating standards, SLAs, metrics, governance processes, and controls for data integrity, privacy, compliance, and risk management.
• Use analytics, Lean, Six Sigma, and related methods to eliminate manual work and streamline HR processes.
• Lead organizational change, stakeholder alignment, communications, and workforce capability development during AI adoption.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive operations, HR shared services, HRIS, or HR transformation experience.
• 8+ years of leadership experience managing operations or shared services teams.
• Strong understanding of AI, automation, and self-service technologies in HR platforms.
• Experience with operational excellence methodologies, service management frameworks, organizational change, and senior stakeholder influence.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, strategic thinking, communication, and executive presentation skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in AI-enabled transformation initiatives.
• Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent operational excellence experience.
• Familiarity with case management, knowledge management, and digital employee experience tools.
