Data Product Manager (Fintech)

Location: Onsite at posted U.S. locations; listed location is San Diego, California. Remote and hybrid work are not available.

Salary: $120,000–$140,000 per year, plus eligible discretionary annual cash and restricted stock unit bonus targets of 10% each.

What you will do

• Own and prioritize the data engineering backlog, including user stories, acceptance criteria, data pipelines, and platform capabilities.
• Drive the data platform roadmap across engineering, analytics, business units, and technology leadership.
• Translate technical vision into deliverables for ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and serving layers.
• Improve data governance, discoverability, reliability, and AI readiness in partnership with platform teams and Collibra.
• Champion AI-assisted development, automation, monitoring, anomaly detection, and observability.
• Mentor junior Scrum Masters and strengthen Agile delivery practices through metrics and retrospectives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, product ownership, or technical program management in modern data environments.
• Hands-on familiarity with Databricks, dbt, Fivetran, Kafka, Census, Azure Data Services, SSIS, Tableau, and Collibra.
• Experience using AI-assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot, ADO, or Databricks Assistant.
• Strong understanding of data architecture, pipelines, orchestration, and governance frameworks.
• Experience managing backlogs, defining roadmaps, and driving delivery through Agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services or regulated data ecosystems.
• Exposure to Lakehouse architectures, metadata-driven automation, and AI Ops for data platforms.
• CSPO, SAFe POPM, or cloud certifications.
