Data Product Owner (AI)

Location: New York, United States; hybrid with onsite work at the NYC office 3+ days per week

What you will do

• Lead focused discovery workshops, identify business needs, define success metrics, and create phased project scopes.
• Own delivery timelines and OKRs, run stand-ups, remove blockers, coordinate with engineering, and escalate risks.
• Serve as the primary product contact for strategic enterprise clients and manage executive stakeholder relationships.
• Design AI-enabled solutions combining client context with classical automation, GenAI, and human-in-the-loop approaches.
• Document playbooks, mentor analysts and product managers, and share insights with product and sales teams.

Requirements

• 8–10 years of experience in data product management or ownership within financial services.
• Experience owning and delivering multiple data products, including end-to-end data transformation programs.
• Hands-on data analysis and querying experience across large enterprise platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of data governance, data quality management, metadata management, and data lineage.
• Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to senior and executive audiences.
• Ability to work onsite at the NYC office 3+ days per week. Experience with Jira, Confluence, or equivalent tools is required.

Nice to have

• Asset or wealth management data expertise, including portfolio and position data, investor reporting, AUM and flows, or trade and settlement data.
• Experience with generative AI assistants, LLM-based workflows, or AI-powered analytics.
• Experience evaluating and managing third-party data vendors.
