Salary: $96,720–$162,120 per year.

What you will do

  • Lead onsite installation, commissioning, testing, and debugging of PLCs, vision systems, AMRs, cobots, and six-axis industrial robots.
  • Execute technical deployment plans, timelines, and launch schedules across manufacturing plants.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and controls issues to meet cycle time, quality, and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with plant engineering, production supervisors, and union skilled trades, providing technical guidance and knowledge transfer.
  • Support plant readiness assessments and verify power, network, and floor-space infrastructure.
  • Develop site-specific training materials and standard operating procedures while reporting integration challenges and technology performance to engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Robotics/Mechatronics Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent extensive hands-on experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, controls engineering, or industrial launch support.
  • Hands-on experience programming, integrating, and troubleshooting controls/PLCs, robotics, and vision systems.
  • Experience working with unionized workforces and skilled trades in a heavy manufacturing environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively, up to 70–80%.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship, including F-1 OPT, is not available.

Nice to have

  • Experience deploying and programming AMRs and fleet management software.
  • Experience integrating cobots and knowledge of RIA 15.06, ISO 10218, or ISO 15066 safety standards.
  • Automotive manufacturing launch experience involving vehicle assembly or powertrain processes.
  • High resilience, adaptability, and strong communication skills in high-pressure plant environments.
