TL;DR
Electronics Technician (Power Systems Electronics): Troubleshooting, repairing, and converting SEL products to the component level while performing failure root cause analysis in an electronics lab. Focus on solving complex hardware problems, maintaining product quality, training junior technicians, and collaborating with engineers and other divisions to support customers.

Location: Lewiston, Idaho, United States; onsite electronics lab and Product Hospital operation.

Pay: Electronics Technician I — $32.88–$48.60 per hour; Electronics Technician II — $35.83–$52.95 per hour; Electronics Technician III — $40.50–$59.84 per hour.

What you will do

  • Test, repair, convert, and troubleshoot complex SEL products to the component level.
  • Perform failure root cause analysis and process repairs in the Product Hospital operation.
  • Maintain knowledge of SEL products and processes to support product quality and integrity.
  • Provide basic troubleshooting training to junior department personnel.
  • Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and other divisions to address customer needs.

Requirements

  • Two-year degree in electronic engineering technology or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of analog, digital, and microprocessor-based electronics.
  • Hands-on electronic troubleshooting experience and comfort working in an electronics lab.
  • Ability to solve complex problems collaboratively.
  • Open positions are available at Electronics Technician I, II, and III levels.

Nice to have

  • 2–5 years of technical service or engineering support experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Experience leading process improvement or analysis teams.
  • Technical training and presentation skills.
  • Practical knowledge of power systems.
