Quality Technician II

Location: Pullman, Washington, United States. Full-time swing shift, Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM–11:00 PM.

Salary: $35.83–$52.94 per hour.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, support, and assign daily work to a team of quality technicians.
• Provide hands-on technical support to manufacturing operations and communicate quality findings, trends, and results.
• Troubleshoot and characterize electrical and mechanical components to identify root causes of quality issues.
• Conduct material and product testing according to industry standards and internal requirements.
• Support investigations into material defects, test failures, assembly issues, and process variation.
• Participate in cross-functional root cause analysis, corrective action, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Two-year technical degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in an engineering- or science-related field.
• At least 3 years of experience with electronics and/or mechanical assemblies.
• 1–2 years of people leadership experience, including work direction, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Knowledge of inspection techniques, measurement systems, inspection equipment, and calibration programs.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications, and acceptance criteria and maintain accurate documentation.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform extended standing or sitting and repetitive tasks.

Nice to have

• Two-year STEM degree.
• Experience with root cause analysis, CAPA, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, product flow, sheet metal, printed wiring boards, adhesives, and plastic components.
• Knowledge of applicable industry standards, hirify.global Engineering Requirements, and ISO 9001.
