Senior Manager, Legal Project Management

Salary: Up to $200,000 annually, varying by location and commensurate with relevant experience.

What you will do

• Partner with attorneys and senior associates to define matter scope, resourcing, risk mitigation, and fee structures.
• Lead end-to-end project management for complex legal matters, managing scope, budgets, timelines, resources, and profitability.
• Support client communication through matter dashboards, value reports, budget updates, and post-engagement reviews.
• Collaborate with Pricing and business development teams on pricing solutions, client pitches, and fee discussions.
• Champion AI, automation, data tools, predictive budgeting, design thinking, and process improvement.
• Build the legal project management operating model, frameworks, playbooks, templates, workflows, and training materials.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in legal project management, legal operations, or a related role in a law firm, in-house legal team, or professional services environment.
• Experience embedding legal project management in a nascent environment and influencing senior partners and demanding clients.
• Strong expertise in project management, change leadership, alternative fee arrangements, matter budgeting, profitability analysis, and commercial risk management.
• Strong analytical and financial skills, including data interrogation, model building, and commercial recommendations.
• Hands-on experience with legal technology platforms, workflow automation, matter management, collaboration, or BI and reporting tools.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or an equivalent project management certification.

• Exposure to design thinking, Lean, Agile, or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Experience with training, coaching, or change management initiatives.
