TL;DR
Draught Dispense Technician - South (beverage technology and field service): Servicing, maintaining, repairing and commissioning automated beverage and draught dispense systems across customer venues in the South of England with an accent on fault diagnosis, equipment reliability and dispense quality. Focus on solving mechanical, electrical, cooling and dispense issues, completing first-time fixes, supporting installations and maintaining system uptime at stadiums, arenas and live events.

Location: Field-based and home-based across the South of England, ideally within the M4, M3 or M25 corridor, with regular travel throughout the South and occasional travel elsewhere in the UK, including Wakefield HQ.

Salary: £34,000–£42,000 per year, plus overtime and a company van.

What you will do

  • Service and maintain Boxbar equipment and draught dispense systems, including cooling systems, pumps, gas systems, pipework and related components.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, cooling and dispense faults, complete repairs and test equipment after servicing.
  • Plan and manage field assignments, journeys, van stock, tools, equipment and service documentation.
  • Support customers and venue teams with equipment operation, cleaning, basic care and technical guidance.
  • Assist with installations, commissioning, system testing, site surveys and technical assessments.
  • Provide occasional technical support at stadiums, arenas, festivals and other live events.

Requirements

  • Experience in field service, maintenance, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, beverage equipment or a similar technical environment.
  • Practical experience servicing, installing, maintaining or repairing equipment, with strong mechanical aptitude and confidence using hand and power tools.
  • Good fault-finding, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, including the ability to follow diagrams, schematics and service procedures.
  • Ability to work independently, manage a regional territory and communicate clearly with customers and site teams.
  • Comfort using mobile technology or service-management systems for job records.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across the South of England and occasionally elsewhere in the UK.

Nice to have

  • Experience with draught beer or beverage dispense, keg-to-tap systems, beer lines, cooling equipment, pumps, gas systems, regulators or cellar equipment.
  • Background in commercial catering equipment, refrigeration, coffee-machine servicing, vending, plumbing, fluid systems, electrical equipment or electromechanical field service.
  • Experience in stadiums, arenas, hospitality or live-event environments.
  • Basic electrical fault finding, commissioning, van-stock management, digital field-service documentation or customer training experience.
  • Relevant mechanical, electrical, plumbing or refrigeration qualifications, or cellar-management and drinks-quality knowledge.
