Field Service Engineers (Recycling Technology)

Location: London and the South East, UK; field-based work at customer sites with regional travel and occasional overnight stays

Salary: GBP 35,000–GBP 41,000 per year

What you will do

• Install, commission, maintain, optimise, and repair reverse vending machines at customer sites.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues through preventative maintenance and reactive repairs.
• Support the rollout of new recycling machines as hirify.global expands across the UK.
• Build professional relationships with customers and site contacts.
• Record service activities, machine status, and updates in digital systems.
• Travel throughout the assigned region and provide occasional weekend or overtime support.

Requirements

• Foundation in electro-mechanical systems and an interest in analysing, testing, and repairing complex equipment.
• Customer-focused approach with clear and confident communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing a field-based schedule.
• Flexibility to travel, work occasional overtime and weekends, and transition to a rota-based shift pattern from October 2027.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Curious, solution-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures, including hirify.global Safe and LOTO standards.
