Sr. Principal Experience Designer (AEC)

Location: Portland, Oregon, United States; travel approximately quarterly across North America and other international locations.

Salary: $155,000–$278,300 annual base salary for U.S.-based roles; offers may exceed this range and may include bonuses, stock grants, and benefits.

What you will do

• Define and drive a cohesive UX vision for construction experiences in hirify.global Forma across web and native iOS/Android platforms.
• Shape product strategy by applying product, platform, user-centered design, and AEC industry expertise.
• Create prototypes, diagrams, concepts, and visual frameworks to inspire teams and align decisions.
• Translate complex user needs and business priorities into experience direction, interaction models, and scalable design systems.
• Communicate design strategy through storytelling, presentations, and cross-functional discussions.
• Partner with designers, researchers, product managers, engineering leaders, and executives to deliver feasible end-to-end experiences.

Requirements

• 12+ years of professional experience as a UX design individual contributor and/or design leader.
• Experience designing SaaS products across multiple device types and software platforms.
• Strong communication, facilitation, storytelling, and cross-functional influencing skills.
• Proficiency with Figma and AI-enabled prototyping tools.
• Experience working effectively in larger, cross-team environments.
• Online portfolio with relevant experience and impact; portfolio access or password must be included on the resume.

Nice to have

• Experience mentoring and supporting the growth of other designers.
• Experience driving design vision for agentic experiences, mobile products, or smart devices.
