Director of Project Management (AEC)

Location: Onsite in Tempe, Arizona, United States. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Project Managers while setting performance expectations and providing feedback.
• Oversee delivery across a portfolio of complex engineering projects, including schedules, budgets, forecasts, risks, changes, and client outcomes.
• Ensure project plans define scope, milestones, responsibilities, dependencies, engineering estimates, and resource requirements.
• Partner with engineering leaders on estimating, resource planning, prioritization, and coordination across disciplines.
• Improve project management processes, reporting standards, data quality, and adoption of the project management platform, currently ClickUp.
• Support proposals, scope definition, fee development, project planning, client presentations, and company initiatives related to growth and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive project management experience in engineering, construction, design consulting, or technical services.
• 5+ years in a leadership or management capacity, including experience developing and managing Project Managers or other project delivery professionals.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Business, or a related field.
• Significant AEC industry experience with knowledge of MEP systems, data centers, mission-critical facilities, or complex building projects.
• Strong knowledge of planning, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, resource coordination, risk management, change management, and contract administration.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States is required.

Nice to have

• PMP, CCM, or an equivalent professional certification.
• Experience with ClickUp.
