Commissioning Lead - Electrical (Data Centers)

Location: On-site at the Pampa, Texas jobsite; weekly travel to job sites is required. Candidates must reside in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, Nevada, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, or West Virginia.

Salary: $127,500–$169,500 in Virginia and $133,700–$177,700 in Washington, annually.

What you will do

• Lead on-site execution of all commissioning levels L0–L6 for MEP systems in mission-critical data centers.
• Develop site-specific execution plans, test scripts, procedures, and functional performance tests.
• Lead construction observations, system testing, integrated systems testing, startup, energization, and final handover.
• Manage site commissioning schedules, milestones, resources, expenditures, documentation, and issue resolution.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and coordinate contractors, vendors, construction managers, clients, and project leadership.
• Mentor commissioning engineers and field staff while promoting safe, compliant, and high-quality execution.

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive building systems commissioning experience, including L0–L6 leadership on data center or mission-critical facilities.
• 3+ years of hands-on leadership experience managing commissioning activities and mentoring field teams.
• Deep knowledge of MEP systems, including HVAC, CRAC/CRAH units, chillers, boilers, UPS, generators, medium-voltage electrical systems, BMS, and control sequences.
• Working knowledge of NEC, ASHRAE, NFPA, IEEE, and related industry standards, with strong troubleshooting and system integration skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is preferred; equivalent industry or military experience is considered.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and reside in an eligible state.

Nice to have

• CCP, CxA, or equivalent commissioning certification.
• Professional Engineer license.
• Experience with hyperscale data centers, large technology clients, or multiple construction delivery methods.
• Experience improving commissioning processes and training junior team members.
• Experience with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Revit, or CxAlloy.
