Field Director, Medical Science Liaisons - Central Region US - Obesity and Related Conditions (Obesity)

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, United States; field territory includes North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Illinois.

Annual salary: USD 223,527.05–302,418.95.

What you will do

• Provide strategic direction, oversight, coaching, and performance management for the regional MSL team.
• Ensure compliant execution of field medical plans, scientific engagement plans, and administrative responsibilities.
• Partner with medical leadership to develop field medical strategy, tactics, tools, and success measures.
• Oversee scientific engagement with opinion leaders, community healthcare providers, and population health decision makers.
• Guide communication of clinical value, outcomes, and economic data to healthcare institutions and integrated delivery networks.
• Represent field medical in senior leadership interactions, congress activities, and cross-functional project teams.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree and 4 years of Medical Affairs experience; or master’s degree and 8 years; or bachelor’s degree and 10 years.
• At least 4 years of managerial or team leadership experience.
• Experience in Scientific or Medical Affairs at a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company.
• Experience in clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research.
• Experience in a medical science liaison role is preferred.
• Work in the central US field territory and based in the stated US location.

Nice to have

• Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., D.O., or another doctoral degree.
• Seven years of industry experience in Scientific or Medical Affairs.
• Expertise in obesity and related conditions.
