Field Director, GU Oncology - South Central (Medical Affairs/Oncology): Leading a regional GU Medical Science Liaison team providing scientific, clinical, research, and educational support to healthcare professionals with an accent on people leadership, compliant medical engagement, and data-driven regional strategy. Focus on coaching MSLs, executing field Medical Affairs programs, translating medical insights into strategic recommendations, and building AI literacy across the team.

Location: Must live in the assigned South Central U.S. region and be in close proximity to an airport. The territory includes Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri, Southern Illinois, Western Tennessee, Arkansas, Louisiana, Alabama, and Mississippi. Regional travel is approximately 60%, including overnight travel and periodic national congresses and meetings at corporate offices in Horsham, Pennsylvania and Titusville, New Jersey.

Salary: $164,000–$282,900 annual base pay.

What you will do

  • Lead a regional GU Oncology Medical Science Liaison team supporting healthcare professionals and internal partners with scientific, clinical, research, and educational expertise.
  • Translate Medical Affairs and therapeutic-area strategy into regional priorities, measurable objectives, territory plans, and execution plans.
  • Coach, observe, develop, and evaluate MSLs through field visits, one-to-ones, feedback, succession planning, and career development.
  • Oversee field Medical Affairs programs, product launches, proactive initiatives, healthcare professional engagement, training, and performance metrics.
  • Partner cross-functionally to gather medical insights, identify unmet needs and evidence-generation opportunities, and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Ensure compliant, ethical, and accountable scientific engagement while leading the team through changing priorities.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a master’s degree; PharmD, PhD, or MD is highly preferred.
  • At least 8 years of experience, including at least 4 years in the pharmaceutical industry and 2 years of MSL or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in data gathering and analysis, clinical expertise, problem solving, interpersonal influence, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Previous people management and therapeutic-area experience are preferred.
  • Must live in the assigned U.S. region, remain close to an airport, travel regionally approximately 60%, and hold a valid U.S. driver’s license.
  • Demonstrated commitment to learning emerging technologies such as AI and experience building team AI literacy and responsible AI use.
