Associate Director Medical Science Liaison - East (Oncology)

Location: Raleigh, NC, United States; frequent travel of 50% or more, including occasional weekends

Salary: $230,000–$280,000 annually base pay

What you will do

• Lead, direct, and support a regional team of Medical Science Liaisons.
• Manage MSL strategic, operational, and tactical plans and monitor individual and team performance.
• Engage national and regional oncology thought leaders and healthcare professionals through balanced scientific exchange.
• Support investigator-initiated studies, company-sponsored trials, medical conferences, and congress reporting.
• Report competitive intelligence, compound perspectives, and treatment landscape insights to Medical Affairs leadership.
• Lead high-visibility Medical Affairs projects and collaborate cross-functionally as a scientific resource.

Requirements

• Master's-level oncology PA or NP degree with a minimum of 13 years of related experience, or an accredited doctorate in a basic-science or life-science discipline with a minimum of 12 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination.
• At least 6 years of pharmaceutical industry experience.
• At least 8 years of experience as an MSL in therapeutic oncology.
• Experience managing oncology MSLs and similarly credentialed reports is preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, communicate with small and large groups, prioritize effectively, and demonstrate leadership.
• Ability to travel frequently, 50% or more, including occasional weekends.
