Regional Director, US Field Medical - West

Location: Fully remote U.S. Field Medical role; frequent travel of up to 80% is required, with occasional travel for team meetings and events.

Salary: $204,000–$278,000 annual

What you will do

• Directly manage Medical Science Liaison team members, including leadership, recruiting, performance management, training, coaching, and field activity direction.
• Design, develop, and implement field medical strategies across pulmonary arterial hypertension, interstitial lung disease, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, and progressive pulmonary fibrosis.
• Lead medical affairs, R&D, clinical development, and corporate projects while aligning cross-functional goals and workstreams.
• Develop MSL goals and territory medical action plans; monitor progress, report results, and provide territory support during vacancies.
• Capture, synthesize, and communicate scientific insights from healthcare professionals and serve as a regional medical and scientific resource.
• Build productive relationships with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, organizations, providers, and partners while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.

Requirements

• Advanced degree such as PharmD, MD, DO, PhD, PA, or NP.
• At least 5 years of relevant clinical or therapeutic experience.
• At least 5 years of MSL and/or MSL leadership experience.
• Experience leading field-based medicine or medical affairs projects and mentoring MSLs.
• Strong presentation, interpersonal, conflict-resolution, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of the PhRMA Code, Sunshine Act, HIPAA, promotional regulations, and other applicable laws and regulations.

Nice to have

• Biotechnology experience in medical information, medical strategy, or clinical trial management.
• Personnel management experience with demonstrated coaching, leadership, and staff development skills.
