Systems Engineer - Engines

Location: Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA; onsite role with occasional travel to other hirify.global facilities

What you will do

• Provide engineering input to product development projects and collaborate with engineering, operations, sourcing, quality, service, and marketing teams.
• Define functional requirements, contribute to designs, validate products, and support bringing new products to market.
• Test and integrate moderately complex components while evaluating cost, reliability, risk, safety, and overall fitness for use.
• Develop and evaluate system testing, product specifications, and process validation plans.
• Collaborate with manufacturing partners, contract manufacturers, designers, and product specialists to optimize designs for manufacturability.
• Support product development schedules and costs, contribute to CAD/CAE modeling, and mentor less experienced engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience with engine design and development, preferably focused on application engineering and engine integration.
• Knowledge of fuel, control, intake, cooling, and exhaust systems.
• Ability to perform accurate, detail-oriented work across multiple projects and collaborate cross-functionally.
• Strong written communication, presentation, and technical translation skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with machine design.
• Experience with SAP or an equivalent ERP system.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
