Product Design Engineer II (Water Products)

Location: On-site at the manufacturing facility in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, Monday through Friday. Duties are primarily office-based, with occasional presence on the manufacturing floor and required personal protective equipment.

What you will do

• Own assigned product lines, including maintenance, product improvement, special-order design, cost reduction, and new product development.
• Lead cross-functional engineering projects covering product roadmaps, quality, compliance, cost, and schedule objectives.
• Design, validate, and release products through the established phase-gate development process.
• Develop robust designs balancing performance, manufacturability, cost, serviceability, and regulatory requirements.
• Build and inspect prototypes, perform testing and analysis, document results, and drive corrective actions.
• Support product issues, engineering changes, design reviews, DFMEAs, risk mitigation, documentation, and mentoring of junior engineering staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, product engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related product development.
• Proficiency with CAD and PDM or vault systems such as SolidWorks, Siemens NX, Autodesk Inventor, or AutoCAD.
• Experience with GD&T, tolerance analysis, material selection, design for manufacturing, and manufacturing processes including sheet metal, casting, stamping, machining, injection molding, coating, and assembly.
• Knowledge of engineering analysis, product regulations, industry standards, certification requirements, project management, scheduling, communication, and risk management.
• Must establish employment eligibility and successfully complete background checks and required pre-employment testing.
