Recruitment Coordinator (Hospitality)

Location: Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada; onsite casino environment

Salary: CAD 49,000–66,000 per year

What you will do

• Support the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, reference checks, and candidate communications.
• Partner with property leadership and hiring managers to understand recruitment needs, address challenges, and fill requisitions efficiently.
• Develop sourcing strategies and maintain relationships with community partners, local schools, and other recruiting channels.
• Manage the company Applicant Tracking System, assessment tools, and recruitment systems as a super user.
• Organize hiring events and job-shadowing programs while monitoring recruitment timelines through orientation.
• Mentor staff, share recruitment expertise, and help resolve complex hiring challenges.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of recruitment or Human Resources experience.
• Experience with an Applicant Tracking System and HRIS; Workday experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; PowerPoint and Publisher experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, analytical, planning, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, work with limited supervision, influence stakeholders, and interact with diverse teams.
• Must be able to obtain a Category 2 license from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO). Ability to travel 10–15% and work nights, weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules is required.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in a related field.
• Previous hospitality, hotel, or casino experience, particularly in recruitment or Human Resources.
• French language skills.
