Entertainment Technician

Location: Busch Gardens Tampa, United States; onsite

Compensation: $15 per hour

What you will do

• Install, operate, and strike entertainment shows and events.
• Work as a stagehand, spotlight operator, light board operator, audio operator, show technician, and warehouse technician.
• Support scene shifts, prop changes, costume dressing changes, puppetry, special effects, and outside vendors or contractors.
• Communicate show and schedule changes with coworkers and management while covering operational positions.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on scenic elements, sound and lighting systems, fixtures, and other technical components.
• Maintain park cleanliness, safety standards, and quality standards across assigned tasks and events.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old and able to work onsite at Busch Gardens Tampa.
• At least 2 years of general theatrical technician experience, with the timeline detailed on the resume.
• A resume is required for consideration.
• Knowledge of technical theater, including theatrical rigging, theater safety, audio and lighting systems, special effects, video, scenery, drapery, set decoration, prop construction, maintenance, and repair.
• Ability to operate technical equipment, troubleshoot problems, handle multiple tasks, and communicate effectively.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including early mornings, evenings, late nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays.

Nice to have

• College degree in Theatre or a related discipline, or equivalent certification or documented experience.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to train on non-CDL trucks, vans, and lifts.
• Ability to work at heights up to 80 feet.
