Supply Planner

Location: Tokyo Office, Japan

What you will do

• Manage supply planning, purchasing, and import activities for a defined product portfolio.
• Review demand forecasts and prepare order volumes and schedules according to supply policy.
• Place and track overseas supplier orders, confirm schedules, and maintain weekly PSI updates for current and planned orders over 18 months.
• Coordinate with forwarders, customs brokers, and 3PL partners to arrange import clearance and inbound schedules.
• Manage inventory, claims, invoices, and related documentation while preventing excess, obsolete stock, and back orders.
• Resolve supply constraints with suppliers and Sales and Marketing Managers, and support operational improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Business English required; speaking ability is a plus.
• Experience working with overseas manufacturers on production and shipments.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with a proactive, responsible, self-starting, and cooperative approach.
• Good Excel skills; VBA is a plus.
• Experience with project management for operational improvement.
