Lead Firmware Engineer (Embedded)

Salary: $115,300–$170,400 per year

What you will do

• Lead the design, implementation, documentation, and testing of safety-critical firmware systems.
• Develop hard real-time embedded systems for critical electric power applications.
• Analyze hardware and software interactions.
• Collaborate with hardware and software engineers across disciplines.
• Mentor and help develop new engineers.
• Apply engineering processes, product knowledge, and SEL principles.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of professional experience.
• Proficiency in C and C++.
• Experience with object-oriented design, unit testing, and debugging.
• Strong writing, documentation, speaking, and teamwork skills.
• Successful background check and negative drug test results.

Nice to have

• Experience with RTOS, test automation, and Python.
• Knowledge of Agile software development processes.
