Maintenance Electrician II - Journeyman (PLC)

What you will do

• Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, components, machinery, buildings, and grounds.
• Troubleshoot robotic, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and controls-related issues.
• Test electrical systems and circuit continuity and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, drawings, and machine specifications.
• Suggest and implement equipment and design improvements to increase safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and uptime.
• Provide technical support to project managers and engineers and contribute to project work.
• Train maintenance technicians and apprentices while resolving basic to moderately complex problems.

Requirements

• Technical associate degree, certificate, or equivalent education in a maintenance-related field.
• 6+ years of commercial or industrial electrical and maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of PLC hardware and programming systems, including maintenance and troubleshooting of PLC-controlled equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to systematically resolve complex issues.
• Ability to work from blueprints, drawings, sketches, schematics, and machine specifications.
• Ability to communicate effectively, obtain and maintain service-equipment certifications, and train others.

Nice to have

• Experience with equipment and automation in metal fabrication, paint, and assembly operations.
• Intermediate mechanical aptitude.
