Product Owner, VP - BXTI - BXMA Direct Trading (Fintech)

Location: New York, United States

Expected annual base salary: $200,000–$225,000, plus discretionary bonuses and potential equity or other incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Set the technology strategy, product vision, roadmap, and backlog for BXMA Direct Trading platforms.
• Support order management, execution, post-trade, market data, and analytics workflows.
• Translate trader, portfolio manager, risk, and operations workflows into prioritized requirements and clear specifications.
• Lead product discovery to identify automation, data, and analytics opportunities across the trade lifecycle.
• Coordinate with engineering, design, internal data, AI, and infrastructure teams, as well as external vendors, on integrations and build-versus-buy decisions.
• Define KPIs, manage competing priorities and concurrent initiatives, and communicate progress and trade-offs to senior leadership.

Requirements

• 8+ years of product management experience, including significant experience building technology for trading, capital markets, or alternative investments.
• Deep understanding of trade-lifecycle, OMS/EMS, market data, and post-trade workflows across asset classes.
• Track record of delivering institutional-grade investment or trading technology with engineering teams.
• Strong analytical skills, including SQL and modern data tools.
• Experience in a financial-services technology team, preferably within alternative asset management, hedge funds, or sell-side trading.
• Experience with agile software development, change control, CI/CD, scope management, prioritization, and senior stakeholder communication; bachelor's or master's degree in a related discipline.
