TL;DR
Assistant/Associate Clinical-Track Professor of Communication Disorders (Speech-Language Pathology): Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, mentoring students, and contributing to academic service on the Fort Worth campus with an accent on clinical-track instruction, active learning, and curriculum development. Focus on designing assessments, evaluating student learning outcomes, supporting accreditation requirements, and improving instructional practices.

Location: Fort Worth, Texas, United States; onsite at the Fort Worth campus. This is a 9-month position with work hours generally Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM, or as teaching and work requirements indicate. Teaching may be assigned at other campus locations or through approved instructional modalities based on operational needs.

What you will do

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver lectures, seminars, and laboratory courses for undergraduate and graduate students.
  • Develop syllabi, select instructional materials, and design examinations, quizzes, papers, and other assessments.
  • Assess student performance, provide timely feedback, and evaluate learning outcomes to improve teaching and curriculum.
  • Use active learning, innovative instructional technologies, and hands-on approaches to support student engagement and critical thinking.
  • Provide academic guidance through office hours, assignment feedback, and undergraduate and graduate student mentoring.
  • Participate in departmental and institutional service, including committees, recruitment, program development, and faculty mentoring.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. or another doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a closely related discipline from an accredited university.
  • Master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology, ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP), and eligibility for Texas state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Knowledge of the discipline sufficient for graduate-level instruction and the ability to conduct effective teaching and research activities.
  • Ability to collaborate professionally with students, staff, and faculty.
  • Employment is contingent on credential verification and completion of a criminal history investigation because the position is security-sensitive.

  • Three years of clinical experience.
