Clinical Assistant Professor of Nursing

What you will do

• Teach assigned nursing courses and complete the administrative requirements for those courses.
• Supervise student clinical experiences and evaluate progress in coursework and clinical practice.
• Advise students throughout their programs of study, as appropriate.
• Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate nursing curricula.
• Participate in college and university committees.
• Provide service to the community and the nursing profession.

Requirements

• Earned master's degree in nursing; ABD candidates may be considered.
• At least two years of clinical nursing experience.
• Current unrestricted and unencumbered license to practice registered nursing in Texas.
• Advanced practice nurses must hold the certifications required for their specialty.
• Ability to work a regular schedule on campus and in the workplace.

Nice to have

• Earned doctorate in nursing from an accredited university.
• At least one year of higher-education teaching experience.
