TL;DR
Assistant/Associate Tenure-Track Professor of Communication Disorders (Speech-Language Pathology): Teaching and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students while maintaining an active research, scholarship, or creative activity agenda with an accent on graduate-level instruction, student learning, and professional service. Focus on designing communication-disorders courses, evaluating student outcomes, conducting scholarly work, and contributing to external funding or national professional recognition.

Location: Fort Worth, Texas, on hirify.global’s Fort Worth campus. This is a 9-month, full-time tenure-track position with weekday hours generally from 8 AM to 5 PM. Teaching may be assigned at other campus locations or through approved instructional modalities based on institutional needs.

What you will do

  • Plan and deliver lectures, seminars, and laboratory courses for undergraduate and graduate students.
  • Develop syllabi, instructional materials, assessments, and curriculum improvements.
  • Assess student performance, provide feedback, mentor students, and support active learning.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff on course coordination, program development, recruitment, committees, and faculty mentoring.
  • Maintain an active research, scholarship, or creative activity agenda and publish, present, or exhibit scholarly work.
  • Contribute to external funding, national impact, or professional recognition in the discipline.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. or another doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a closely related discipline from an accredited university.
  • MS in Speech and Language Pathology, ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP), and eligibility for Texas state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are required.
  • Knowledge of the discipline sufficient for graduate-level instruction and research.
  • Ability to work professionally and collaboratively with students, staff, and faculty.
  • Academic rank will be determined by experience and professional achievements; an Associate Professor appointment requires a distinguished record supporting tenure.

Nice to have

  • Three years of clinical experience.
  • Previous higher-education teaching experience.
