Associate/Full Professor in Educational Leadership (Dissertation and Research) (Education): Teaching graduate and doctoral educational leadership courses and mentoring doctoral candidates through dissertation completion with an accent on dissertation chairing, teaching, and university and community service. Location: San Antonio, Texas, United States; full-time, tenure-track or tenured faculty appointment beginning in Spring 2027.

What you will do

  • Teach graduate and doctoral courses in educational leadership during fall and spring semesters.
  • Chair dissertations and mentor doctoral candidates through degree completion.
  • Collaborate with school administrators and the Department of Educator & Leadership Preparation.
  • Coordinate program initiatives and align program operations with department and college priorities.
  • Assess and develop collaboration opportunities with educational and community partners.
  • Participate in service and committee work at the program, department, college, university, community, and professional levels.

Requirements

  • Earned doctoral degree from an accredited higher education institution in Educational Leadership or a closely related discipline.
  • Extensive experience chairing dissertations and a demonstrated record of mentoring doctoral candidates through degree completion.
  • Academic record meeting university and Texas A&M System qualifications for tenure.
  • Ability to teach and serve collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with a non-traditional, first-generation, and multicultural student body.
  • Effective communication, independent work, cooperation, curriculum development, reporting, and instructional-materials skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience with both quantitative and qualitative dissertations.
  • Experience working with Local Education Agencies and institutions of higher education.
  • University-level administrative experience.
  • Superintendent certification and experience.
