Service Manager (Bicycle Retail)

Location: Rockville, Maryland, United States; onsite at Trek Store Rockville

What you will do

• Lead service center operations, including workflow, mechanic staffing, and performance KPIs.
• Act as the primary service advisor and connect the sales and service experiences for customers.
• Train, motivate, and develop service employees and future leaders.
• Recommend appropriate bicycle services, manage service costs, and keep service orders organized.
• Manage customer communication and prepare more than 50% of the shop’s work orders.
• Review service reports, improve department efficiency, and coordinate bike builds and deliveries with the sales team.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of bicycle service center experience.
• Strong communication, hospitality, listening, leadership, and team-development skills.
• Ability to plan effectively, anticipate store needs, and maintain an organized, clean, and efficient department.
• Positive, proactive attitude and commitment to delivering a strong customer experience.
• Willingness to attend Trek Service classes in Waterloo, Wisconsin, and stay current with industry changes and trends.
