Sr Financial Analyst (Automotive)

What you will do

• Manage financial close activities, journal entries, reporting, account reconciliations, and balance sheet accuracy.
• Analyze operating results, including volume, mix, price, standard margin, material costs, labor costs, and unusual variances.
• Maintain plant cost accounting systems, including MFG/PRO and SAP bills of materials, standard costs, actual cost roll-ups, and variance analysis.
• Provide production, material, labor, and Best Business Practices metrics to plant management and identify opportunities for operational improvement.
• Analyze inventory balances, coordinate physical inventories, and identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and inventory-reduction opportunities.
• Support forecasts, annual profit plans, audits, tax compliance, financial reporting, and the development of financial policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
• 3–5 years of experience, including experience in manufacturing; automotive experience is a plus.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
• Experience with financial systems; MFG/PRO, SAP, and HFM are preferred.
• Ability to analyze complex data and communicate findings verbally and through presentations.
