Field Director, Medical Science Liaisons - West Region US - Obesity and Related Conditions

Location: US - California - Los Angeles; territory includes CA, WA, OR, WY, and MT.

Annual salary: $223,527.05–$302,418.95 USD.

What you will do

• Provide strategic direction, oversight, coaching, and performance management for a regional MSL team.
• Ensure compliant execution of field medical plans, scientific engagement activities, and administrative responsibilities.
• Partner with medical leadership to develop field medical strategies, tactics, and Scientific Engagement Plans.
• Oversee scientific engagement with opinion leaders, community healthcare providers, and population health decision-makers.
• Guide communication of clinical value, outcomes, and economic data to decision-makers within integrated delivery networks and other institutions.
• Represent the MSL team with senior leadership, support congress activities, and lead cross-functional project teams.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree and 4 years of Medical Affairs experience, or master’s degree and 8 years, or bachelor’s degree and 10 years.
• At least 4 years of managerial or team leadership experience, including direct people management, project or program leadership, or resource allocation.
• Experience in Scientific Affairs or Medical Affairs at a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company.
• Preferred: Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., or D.O., plus experience in clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research.
• Preferred: 3+ years in a medical science liaison role and expertise in obesity and related conditions.
• Role territory is limited to the western United States, covering CA, WA, OR, WY, and MT.
