Fullstack Mechanical Engineering Interns (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; on-site

Compensation: $108,000–$126,000 annualized, paid hourly.

hirify.global is an early-stage hardware startup developing the hardware, software, fabrication facilities, tools, and components required to manufacture chips.

What you will do

• Design, prototype, and build semiconductor fabrication equipment.
• Create mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
• Perform detailed analysis and simulations of electromechanical designs.
• Drive prototypes into production with manufacturing and supply chain teams.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in engineering.
• Hands-on prototyping experience and the ability to move quickly through design cycles.
• Experience with electromechanical assembly design and analysis through coursework, internships, or personal projects.
• Strong mechanical engineering foundation, including SolidWorks or Onshape, simulation, and materials selection.
• Ability to learn quickly and troubleshoot technical problems.
• A portfolio demonstrating built projects is required when applying.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with semiconductor processing, including ALD, CVD, PVD, or photolithography.
• Electrical engineering experience with KiCad or Altium, microcontrollers, embedded systems, or digital circuits.
• Experience in optical engineering, precision machine design, or vacuum systems.
