Facilities Services - Intern, Bachelor’s (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in the United States; primary location in Hillsboro, Oregon, with additional locations in Phoenix, Arizona; Folsom, California; and Santa Clara, California. Not available in Colorado.

Salary: $76,398–$76,402 annual target compensation for a US hourly internship role.

What you will do

• Support engineering projects and continuous improvement initiatives for semiconductor manufacturing facilities.
• Analyze system and equipment performance to identify improvement opportunities.
• Assist with troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and technical problem solving.
• Contribute to the safe, reliable, and sustainable operation of critical facility systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on facilities engineering challenges.
• Gain exposure to chemical and gas systems, electrical systems, instrumentation and controls, water treatment, environmental health and safety, and manufacturing infrastructure.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical, instrumentation and controls, microelectronics, renewable energy technology, environmental technology, water or purification engineering, or a related STEM field.
• At least 3 months of engineering, research, analytical, technical, educational, or industry experience.
• Experience may come from coursework, research, academic projects, internships, laboratory work, student organizations, or leadership activities.
• Available to start in Spring or Summer 2027, with consideration for year-long internships and co-op opportunities.
• This position is not eligible for employment-based visa or immigration sponsorship.

Nice to have

• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Exposure to engineering design, laboratory environments, equipment systems, modeling, simulation, data analysis, or technical problem solving.
• Interest in facilities systems, sustainability, advanced manufacturing, infrastructure operations, automation, or environmental health and safety.
• Teamwork, communication, leadership, and interest in solving complex engineering challenges.
