Plant Controller (Automotive Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closes, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, trial balances, and financial statements.
• Prepare management reporting, variance analysis, and plant or platform performance insights for local leadership.
• Manage inventory valuation, physical inventory reconciliations, inventory variance analysis, and inventory accounting processes.
• Manage CapEx and project accounting, including capitalization decisions, CIP settlement, asset retirements, write-offs, and capital expenditure planning.
• Build and review budgets, forecasts, profit plans, and planning assumptions with operations and business units.
• Support audits, SOX compliance, financial controls, tax and accrual activities, consolidation, and plant safety initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 8+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance with a strong manufacturing background.
• Strong understanding of SOX and internal controls.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and fluency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with SAP and HFM is preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, presentation, deadline-management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
