Senior Preconstruction Manager - Industrial

Location: Minneapolis, United States. Requires verification of employment to work in the U.S.

Salary: $150,000–$186,000 per year, with potential additional commission and/or incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Lead preconstruction and estimating activities, including cost models, conceptual estimates, value design, scheduling, procurement, and cost control.
• Support architectural, development, and construction teams across project delivery methods and procurement strategies.
• Manage planning and design phases for industrial and specialized facilities, optimizing building systems and coordinating design documents.
• Review project estimates, provide guidance on scope, market pricing, resources, and Uniformat II cost modeling.
• Develop client and architectural community relationships and deliver sales presentations for project pursuits.
• Train, coach, and mentor Cost Engineers, Project Management staff, and design management personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
• At least 10 years of commercial construction experience, including 5 years in preconstruction or estimating.
• Experience successfully and profitably managing teams.
• Advanced knowledge of construction means and methods, building types, estimating, scheduling, cost control, and material pricing.
• Thorough understanding of design-build, integrated project delivery, value design, budget control, and architectural, engineering, and construction processes.
• Strong sales, presentation, interpersonal communication, ethical conduct, and professional judgment.

Nice to have

• Science and Technology project experience, such as laboratories, data centers, or R&D facilities.
• Proficiency with CSI and Uniformat II work breakdown structures.
• Working knowledge of DESTINI Estimator, Microsoft Excel, OST, and Bluebeam.
