TL;DR
Avionics & Electrical Integration Technician (Aerospace): Building and maintaining electrical systems, wiring harnesses, and avionics assemblies for long-range VTOL aircraft and ground-test platforms with an accent on precision soldering, component integration, and electrical inspection. Focus on diagnosing electrical faults, validating assemblies through continuity and power-on testing, and establishing repeatable aircraft build and quality-control processes.

Location: Oregon, United States; on-site

Company

hirify.global is building an autonomous aircraft network for time-sensitive medical logistics, including long-range VTOL aircraft, autonomy software, and operational infrastructure for moving critical payloads between healthcare facilities.

What you will do

  • Perform precision soldering, wire splicing, connector termination, and electrical rework.
  • Manufacture, route, secure, label, and inspect aircraft wiring harnesses using drawings, schematics, and pinout tables.
  • Integrate flight controllers, ESCs, motors, batteries, sensors, radios, GPS units, cameras, actuators, and power-distribution hardware.
  • Conduct continuity, resistance, insulation, polarity, and power-on testing, and troubleshoot electrical faults.
  • Support aircraft assembly, ground testing, flight testing, repairs, and rapid prototype iterations.
  • Maintain wiring diagrams, harness records, inspection checklists, build documentation, tools, components, and inventory while helping establish repeatable quality standards.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience with precision soldering, electrical assembly, wiring harnesses, and electrical connector termination.
  • Proficiency with crimpers, soldering stations, heat guns, multimeters, power supplies, and common electrical hand tools.
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams, connector pinouts, schematics, and assembly drawings.
  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot electrical faults methodically, with strong attention to detail and clean, repeatable workmanship.
  • Comfort working independently in a fast-moving prototype environment.
  • Ability to work safely around high-voltage and high-current battery systems.

Nice to have

  • IPC J-STD-001, IPC/WHMA-A-620, or equivalent training.
  • Experience in aerospace, aviation, drones, robotics, automotive, motorsports, or industrial electronics.
  • Experience with Molex, JST, TE Connectivity, Deutsch, Amphenol, D-sub, XT-series, and circular connectors.
  • Experience with CAN, UART, I²C, Ethernet, PWM, RS-232, or RS-485 systems and lithium-ion or lithium-polymer batteries.
  • Familiarity with PX4, ArduPilot, CubePilot, printed circuit board rework, and aerospace EMI-management practices.

Culture & Benefits

  • Join an early-stage, small company moving quickly from prototype development toward an operational medical logistics network.
  • Take direct ownership of engineering processes, testing discipline, partner relationships, and hardware quality.
  • Help build aircraft and ground-test platforms from the ground up.
