Avionics Intern (Aerospace)

Location: Los Angeles, United States; in-person work at the Playa Vista office

Salary: $45 per hour

hirify.global manufactures satellite buses at scale using software, vertical integration, and hardware designed for manufacturing, supporting earth observation, communications, and other spacecraft applications.

What you will do

• Contribute to spacecraft avionics design, testing, and validation.
• Design and simulate electrical circuits.
• Lay out printed circuit boards and bring up boards for spacecraft platforms.
• Learn about radiation environments and spacecraft subsystems.
• Complete an assigned project with guidance from a dedicated mentor.
• Participate in aerospace learning sessions and community events.

Requirements

• Graduating in Fall 2027 or Spring 2028.
• Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Physics.
• Proficiency with PCB design, circuit design, and simulation tools.
• At least 3 months of technical experience outside the classroom through laboratory work, research, personal projects, internships, or project teams.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and dynamic professional environment.
• GPA of 3.0 or above preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with rocketry, FSAE, CubeSat, or similar technical project teams.
